Indian Coast Guard Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check their eligibility criteria like educational qualification and age limit before applying for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024.

1. Engine Driver –

• Must have 10th class pass
• Engine Driver certificate from a recognized institute
• 2 years experience as Sarang on a vessel of over 400 BHP

2. Lascar –

• Must have Matriculation or equivalent pass.
• Two years experience in Service on a Boat

3. Draughtsman –

• Must have a Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Marine Engg. or Naval Architecture, or a Draughtsmanship certificate.
• 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

4. Fireman/Mech Fireman –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
• Should be Physically fit for strenuous duties.

5. Civilian Motor Transport Driver (OG) –

• Must have a 10th standard pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driving license for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles.
• Candidates should have at least 2 years of driving experience. Knowledge of motor mechanisms.

6. Multi-Tasking Staff (Mali) –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
• Two years experience as Mali in any nursery or organization

7. Multi-Tasking Staff (Chowkidar) –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
• Two years experience as Chowkidar in any recognized institution or organization

8. Motor Transport Fitter –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
• Two years experience in an automobile workshop
•  I.T.I. diploma in relevant trade

9. Electrical Fitter (Skilled) –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent
• Completed Apprenticeship Training (Electrical/Fitter)
• ITI certificate in Electrical Fitter with 1 year experience
• 4 years experience in relevant trade (if no ITI training available)
• Passed trade entrance examination

10. Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Fitter (Skilled) –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent
• Completed Apprenticeship Training (ICE Fitter)
• ITI certificate in ICE Fitter with 1 year of experience
• 4 years experience in relevant trade (if no ITI training available)
• Passed trade entrance examination

11. Unskilled Labour –

• Must have a Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent or ITI
• Three years experience in the trade.
