SSC Stenographer Online Form Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Stenographer : Candidates must have complete 12th Pass from a recognized Board or University with shorthand qualification

Age Limit for

As per recruitment notifications candidates’ Age limit (As on 01.05.2025)

• Minimum Age Limit -18 years 
• Maximum Age Limit – 30 years

Age Relaxation:

• OBC Candidates – 5 years
• ST/SC/Women Candidates- 5 years
• Ex-Serviceman – 5 years
• PWD+SC/ST Candidates- 10 years

SSC Stenographer Salary Details

When a candidates selected for the a Stenographer position in SSC, get a monthly salary from (Rs. 25,000/– to 35,400/-) with other allowances.

• Stenographer Grade C– Rs. 25,000/- Per Month
• Stenographer Grade D– Rs. 35,400/- Per Month

SSC Steno Skill Test 2025

Stenographer Grade C 

• Dictation – 10 minutes at 100 words per minute 
• Transcription Time – English 40 Minutes & Hindi 55 Minutes 

Stenographer Grade D 

Transcription Time – English 50 Minutes & Hindi 65 Minutes 

Dictation – 10 minutes at 80 words per minute

• Cast Certificate
